Abstract

This paper shows a simulation of the curve motion according to hyperbolic mean curvature flow and the wave equation. The hyperbolic mean curvature flow curve motion is simulated with the Hyperbolic MBO (HMBO) Algorithm. In this research, we compare the curve motion solved using the HMBO Algorithm and simulated by the wave equation simulation. We are concerned with non-linear functions as the initial curve. This comparison shows that both curve motions coincide with slight displacement. Thus, this comparison will show the relationship between the curve motion by the hyperbolic mean curvature flow and the wave equation.
