Abstract
—Determining the shortest path on a network is widely used for improving network performance. In fact, not all network can be generated with a single parameter and are simple graphs. Many networks contain multiple parameters and are not simple graphs (multigraphs). The shortest path in a multigraph is determined by removing the most weight before calculating with the algorithm. Eliminations on different parameters leads to in various shortest paths, hence an optimal path cannot be found in the multigraph. Multigraphs are built in this research using interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, which are a combination of multiple parameters. The Floyd-warshall algorithm was modified to create an algorithm that may be applied on interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy multigraphs. The optimum path for a transportation network made of various parameters in the form of a multigraph was determined as an experiment using an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy number approach. The improved Floyd-warshall algorithm generates an optimal path on the transportation network under consideration.
