Abstract

This article focuses on the movement pull that occurs in the tourism area of Jatim Park Group in Batu City. The purpose of this study to determine characteristics of tourists and model attraction in tourism area using multiple linear regression method. Primary data collection was carried out by sampling using a non-probability sample approach with accidental sampling method. Before data analysis is carried out, we check data obtained by conducting a research instrument test using validity analysis and reliability. The results of the analysis show the dominant characteristics of tourists who come from outside Batu City with tourists monetized by women where are aged 15-25 years, the income is Rp. 1.000.000 - 3.000.000, type of transportation is a motorcycle where the distance traveled is more than 30 km with travel time of less than 60 minutes, the transportation cost are less than Rp. 200.000. From multiple linear regression analysis results, Y=2,130+0,038X4 + 0,114X5 + 0,237X6 + 0,512X14, the factors that affect the attraction of movement is travel distance (X4), travel time (X5), transportation costs (X6), and desire to visit again (X14). The movement attraction model obtained can be used to predict the amount of future tourist movement attraction.
