Abstract

This study observes an environmentally friendly reduction to efficiently obtain graphene oxide (rGO) nanosheets using organic materials. Bioinspiration reduction of surface oxidative stress of graphene, reduced using extracts leaf.katuk with the latin name sauropus androgynus (SA). Biorenewable reducing agent containing natural anti-oxidant molecules so that the prepared rGO becomes more energetic. Characterization graphene nanosheets synthesized were analyzed using FT-IR spectroscopic studies, UV-vis and DFT analysis. A reduction application of unsaturated graphene oxide (GO) was prepared, using an aqueous medium. It is evident from the FT-IR data, showing a maximum reduction efficiency of about 83.3%. Partially reduced graphene oxide sheets were obtained using 200 ml of SA extract and 5 mg of GO. Analysis Density Functional Theory (DFT) showed a sign of increasing current density and decreasing charge transfer resistance for the rGO-SA200 sample. The increased surface area is associated with phi - phi interactions and the strong electrostatic attraction is correlated with the ability to attract molecules with strong positive partial dipoles such as water. This strategy succeeded in obtaining graphene which could then be applied.
