N2 - Nowadays, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is rapidly growing because it can be applied in various fields such as agriculture, transportation, and mining. Security is one of the main focuses in the development of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, a Hybrid Cryptography security mechanism was implemented using an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption algorithm to carry out a data security mechanism and a Hash-based Message Authentication Code (HMAC) to ensure data integrity. Security testing is done by performing brute force and man-in-the-middle attacks. The results show that the system can determine the attacker's data changes and overcome the brute force attack carried out for 50 hours. The average time needed to perform the encryption process is 409 μs, and it takes an average of 7304 μs to do the decryption process.
