Abstract
Rice is a crop that is classified as susceptible to salinity environments that can reduce productivity. Genotype and salinity factors each had a significant effect on all morphological variables and yield components. Estimating the indices of plant tolerance is a process to measure or estimate the salt tolerance indices of a plant to potentially damaging environmental conditions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of several calculations of stress tolerance indices to select rice genotypes that are tolerant of salinity stress. The experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of the Balai Besar Pengujian Standar Instrumen Tanaman Padi, Jawa Barat. The research was divided into two experimental units. First under optimum conditions. Second under saline conditions with a controlled EC of 5 dS/m throughout the life phase. The results showed that there was one genotype that was tolerant to salinity stress and had greater yields than the comparison varieties, G9 (IR 129336:11-19-Ski-0-KN-20) with Yp=25.39gram and Ys=5.74gram. Clustergram analysis based on the SSI index value divided the genotypes into 4 groups: highly susceptible, susceptible (R), tolerant vegetative susceptible generative (TVRG), and susceptible vegetative tolerant generative (RTVG).
