Abstract

Aerobic Vaginitis is an infection that occurs in the vagina, caused by aerobic bacteria such as S. Aureus. The prevalence of Aerobic Vaginitis in women is 7-12%. Research on Aerobic Vaginitis in humans and experimental animals is still quite limited. Aerobic Vaginitis is claimed to be treated with antibiotics as well as probiotics. There have been no reports of its association with herbal therapies such as black garlic. Black garlic is known to have antibacterial and antiinflammatory compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and terpenoids. This study aims to make Aerobic Vaginitis experimental animals using mice in vivo and also to test the content of chemical compounds in black garlic to be then used as the basis for further research that leads to testing black garlic therapy on Aerobic Vaginitis rats. The animal experiement using mice to be inoculated with S. Aureus bacteria 2×109CFU/ml with various doses to find out which dose is right to infect mice so that the Aerobic Vaginitis rat model is successfully made. Aureus and Gram stain was performed to see leukocytes and parabasal cells. The phytochemical test of black garlic will be carried out by extraction using methanol as a solvent to attract the chemical compounds contained in it.
