Abstract

Hyorrhynchus takakumaensis Setiawan, Hata & Smith, sp. nov. is described from Japan, and Anisandrus auratipilus Smith, Beaver & Cognato, 2020 and Debus shoreae (Stebbing, 1907) are reported from Japan for the first time. With these findings, the diversity of the Japanese Scolytinae fauna increases to three Hyorrhynchus species, four Anisandrus species, and three Debus species. A key to the Japanese Hyorrhynchus species is also provided.
